Dr. Jeon teaches Korean language at all proficiency levels as well as linguistics pedagogy courses in ALC. She was selected by the UCLA Teaching and Learning Center’s Distinguished Teaching Award Selection Committee to receive the 2025-2026 Distinguished Teaching Award for non-Senate Faculty, in the category Practice of Teaching.
Seonkyung was one of six awardees selected for the honor, which is UCLA’s highest recognition for teaching excellence and which celebrates instructors whose consistent and effective practice in the classroom “aims to inspire and challenge students, and supports the success of all students.”
